The Construction of Hanukkah

Presently, the Hanukkah kids are housed in a new built building that was opened at 1 March 2008. The successful project ‘Be a dream’ and the subsidy of the NCDO (Dutch Commission for international cooperation and sustainable development) were a good start to finance it. Dutch volunteers guided the construction and were assisted by local employees. They purchased as much building material as possible on the local market. In this way, not only the new orphanage was accomplished, but also the Sunyani community was economically supported.
