12-01-2011 - Edmond and Kwaku

On the first day of the new year, Hanukkah already welcomed its first two new family members. Late in the night, four policemen arrived. They said they had been made aware of two children that had been staying in a hotel in Sunyani for four days. Supposedly they did not get food and the hotel manager suspected that the children were victims of child trafficking. The woman that was there with them appeared not to be the mother. The police is now investigating their case. It is not certain yet how long the boys will stay.

Edmond is about four years old. Kwaku about two. They seem to enjoy their time in Hanukkah a lot and are not shy at all. They were particularly happy and proud when they received some new clothes and shoes, this morning.
