A few weeks ago, Mariette picked four children from a family in Sunyani. The oldest three, Lily, Simon en Megan had to get used to all the attention at Hanukkah but they are now starting to enjoy it. All three are doing well. Megan still is very small and light for her age (1.5 years old), but she is now starting to walk. More and more often you will find a smile on her face.

The youngest, Sophia, is now two months old. She suffered a lot of the poor feeding in the first week after her birth and probably also of the unhealthy way of life of her mother during pregnancy. At Hanukkah special attention is given to her feeding and weight. Nevertheless, she is now in hospital for the second time. Because she keeps on vomiting and the diarrhea does not stop, she was slightly dehydrated and therefore admitted in hospital again, last Wednesday. We hope that she gains some weight in hospital and comes back strongly and healthily.
