History of Hanukkah

The number of children in need of permanent shelter is quickly increasing. The former location, a house temporarily rented house, was suitable only for a maximum of fifteen children. This was not enough. That is why we started the construction of a new orphanage that has the capacity of housing 50 kids. We received a variety of help from Dutch businesses and private donations.

To begin the project we first had to secure the land rights where we would build, from the local authorities. After procuring the license to establish a business the grounds could be bought. The design for the orphanage was made by two passionate construction engineers with experience in such projects in Ghana. The entire construction is projected to cost (excluding the grounds) an estimated €60,000 (about $88.000)
